Personal & Professional Journey
● Could you tell us about your professional journey and what inspired you to establish Dana Hatch Coaching and Consulting?
My professional journey has always centered on growth, transformation, and helping others unlock their potential. For over 20 years, I built a career in the aesthetics industry, guiding practices and leaders through expansion, team development, and operational excellence. Along the way, I noticed that the greatest challenges weren’t just strategic or financial; they were deeply human. Leaders struggled with self-doubt, identity shifts, and the ability to translate vision into sustainable action.
My own path was shaped by struggles with traditional learning due to dyslexia and other challenges. What once felt like obstacles became the very fuel for my passion I had to find different ways to learn, adapt, and succeed. That experience gave me a deep empathy for others who feel limited by systems not designed for them, and it ignited my commitment to helping people excel in their own unique way and reach their full potential.
This realization inspired me to establish Dana Hatch Coaching and Consulting, where I blend neuroscience-driven coaching with practical business strategy. My work is rooted in the science of how the brain rewires itself through experience and choice. I help high performers, entrepreneurs, and executives break cycles of self-sabotage, lead with clarity, and build systems that turn insight into measurable outcomes.
What inspires me most is witnessing that when people feel anchored in who they are, and have the right structures to support them, they not only achieve more, but they also show up as the leaders they were always meant to be. My company was born from that mission: to equip people to grow their businesses without losing themselves in the process, and to scale in ways that are both profitable and personally aligned.
● What challenges did you face as a founder, and how did you overcome them?
One of my greatest challenges as a founder was learning to trust my own voice. Coming from years of working inside organizations, I was used to carrying out someone else’s vision. When I stepped into building my own company, every decision, from brand positioning to client strategy, rested on my shoulders. At times, impostor syndrome crept in, making me question whether I was “qualified enough” to lead in my own right.
Another challenge was rooted in my lifelong struggles with dyslexia and traditional learning. While these experiences shaped my resilience and creativity, they also meant that I had to work harder to create systems, structures, and tools that supported my way of thinking. Early on, I often felt pressure to fit the mold of how “business should be done,” when in reality my strength lay in building new models that worked for me, and ultimately for my clients.
Equally challenging was helping people understand my process. What I do is vastly different from traditional consulting or coaching. My work demands much more from clients, it requires vulnerability, accountability, and a willingness to change at both the identity and operational level. At first, that felt like an uphill battle, because I wasn’t offering quick fixes but deep transformation. Over time, though, the results spoke for themselves, and the clients who committed to the process became my strongest advocates.
I overcame these obstacles by leaning into what I know best: the science of neuroplasticity and the belief that the brain can always rewire. I built personal rituals and frameworks that grounded me in clarity, surrounded myself with mentors and collaborators who challenged and supported me, and committed to turning my challenges into the very foundation of my company. Today, what once felt like setbacks are the very reasons I can connect so deeply with leaders who are navigating their own roadblocks.
About Dana Hatch Coaching and Consulting
● How would you describe the mission and vision of your company in your own words?
At Dana Hatch Coaching and Consulting, the mission is simple but powerful: to help leaders break free from the cycles that hold them back and step fully into who they were meant to be, both personally and professionally. I believe that true success isn’t just about strategy or skill, it’s about rewiring the way we think, lead, and make decisions so growth becomes sustainable and aligned.
The vision of my company is to create a space where high performers, entrepreneurs, and executives can transform from the inside out. My approach combines neuroscience-driven coaching with practical business strategy, so clients don’t just leave with insight, they leave with systems and structures that make change last.
Ultimately, my vision is to redefine what leadership development looks like: less about fitting into a mold, and more about unlocking the unique identity, resilience, and potential that already exists within every client.
● What makes your approach to coaching and consulting unique?
What makes my approach unique is that it goes far beyond traditional coaching or consulting. Most models focus either on mindset and motivation or on systems and strategy, but rarely both. My work bridges that gap. I combine neuroscience-based coaching, which helps clients rewire the thought patterns and identity loops that keep them stuck, with operational consulting that builds the structures, processes, and accountability needed to sustain growth.
This means my clients don’t just gain insight, they create real, measurable change. But my process also requires more from them. It’s not a surface-level engagement; it asks leaders to dig into the beliefs, habits, and fears that shape their decisions, while also implementing the business systems that make their vision executable. That depth of work can feel uncomfortable at first, but it’s exactly what allows clients to break cycles of self-sabotage and grow in ways that last.
In short, my approach is different because it transforms both the leader and the business simultaneously. One without the other rarely sticks, but together, they unlock a level of clarity, performance, and impact that most people never thought possible.
Leadership & Coaching
● What core values guide your leadership style and client work?
The core values that guide both my leadership and my client work are authenticity, accountability, and transformation.
Authenticity means showing up as who you really are, not who you think the world expects you to be. I lead and coach from that place, encouraging my clients to strip away the layers of doubt or performance and step into their true identity.
Accountability is at the center of everything I do. Growth doesn’t happen by accident, it’s built through commitments, consistent action, and a willingness to own both wins and setbacks. I hold myself and my clients to that standard because it’s what drives real change.
Finally, transformation is the value that ties it all together. My work isn’t about temporary fixes or surface-level improvements; it’s about deep, lasting rewiring, helping people evolve not just in their business, but in how they think, lead, and live.
● Can you share a success story where your coaching/consulting made a significant difference for a client?
One client came to me as a highly accomplished dentist who was on the brink of launching aesthetic services in her practice. Despite her expertise, she was paralyzed by self-doubt and what she described as a “failure to launch” pattern. She had the skills, the team, and the opportunity, but every time she got close to moving forward, fear and second-guessing pulled her back.
Through our work together, we focused on more than just business strategy. I helped her reframe her identity as a leader, uncover the patterns of impostor syndrome rooted in old narratives, and build the internal rituals to anchor new confidence. At the same time, we built out the operational structure for her launch, mapping timelines, training her team, and creating clear systems that made the vision executable.
Within three months, she not only launched her new aesthetic division but exceeded her first-quarter revenue projections. More importantly, she showed up in her practice with a renewed presence, her team noticed the shift, her patients felt the energy, and she finally recognized herself as the leader she had always been.
That success wasn’t just financial; it was personal. She broke a lifelong cycle of hesitation and stepped into a chapter where her growth now feels inevitable.
● How do you ensure each client receives personalized guidance and results?
Personalization is at the heart of everything I do. I start every engagement by going deep into a client’s story, their goals, challenges, identity patterns, and even the limiting beliefs that may be shaping how they operate. No two leaders are alike, so no two coaching or consulting paths should ever look the same.
From there, I build a tailored framework that blends neuroscience-based coaching with practical business strategy. That might mean creating identity-anchoring rituals to shift thought patterns, designing accountability systems to keep commitments on track, or restructuring operations so growth becomes scalable. The process is dynamic and adapts as the client grows.
Most importantly, I stay highly engaged. I don’t sit back and give generic advice, I’m in the trenches with my clients, helping them apply insights in real time, holding them accountable, and celebrating measurable wins. This hands-on, personalized approach ensures that every client leaves not just with clarity, but with sustainable results they can see in both their leadership and their business.
Industry Impact
● What key trends do you see shaping the future of coaching and consulting?
I see three key trends shaping the future of coaching and consulting:
1. Neuroscience-Driven Approaches – More leaders are realizing that surface-level motivation isn’t enough. The future lies in methods rooted in brain science and behavior change, where coaching helps rewire identity, habits, and decision-making at a deeper level.
2. Integration of Strategy and Mindset – The old model of choosing between a “business consultant” or a “mindset coach” is fading. The future belongs to approaches that blend both, pairing personal transformation with scalable business systems so change is both internal and operational.
3. Demand for Authenticity and Accountability – Clients are no longer looking for generic frameworks or inspirational soundbites. They want honest partnership, real accountability, and strategies tailored to their unique vision. This shift is making coaching less about being a cheerleader and more about being a true collaborator who walks alongside the client through the uncomfortable work of growth.
Together, these trends point toward a coaching and consulting industry that is more scientific, more personalized, and far more results-driven than ever before.
● How do you position your company to stay ahead in this evolving space?
I position Dana Hatch Coaching and Consulting ahead of the curve by staying rooted in science while remaining adaptable in practice. My work is built on the foundation of neuroscience and behavior change, which ensures my methods aren’t just trend-driven but backed by research on how people truly transform. At the same time, I continually adapt my frameworks to the realities my clients face, whether that’s evolving market pressures, leadership challenges, or personal identity shifts.
Another differentiator is the depth of my process. I don’t offer one-size-fits-all programs. Every client engagement is highly personalized, blending leadership coaching with operational consulting. This dual approach allows me to impact both the leader and the business, a combination that not only sets my company apart, but also produces results that endure.
Finally, I invest in continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation. By engaging with thought leaders, refining my own models, and pushing clients to co-create solutions, I ensure that my company remains both relevant and leading in an industry that’s rapidly evolving.
Personal Insights
● What does “success” mean to you personally?
For me, success isn’t defined by titles, income, or accolades, it’s defined by alignment. Success means living and leading in a way that reflects who I truly am, rather than who the world tells me I should be. It’s having the courage to build a business that matches my values, to create impact without losing myself in the process, and to help others do the same.
On a personal level, success isn’t about balance, I don’t really believe balance exists in the way people often describe it. Life is rarely evenly distributed, and different seasons demand different things. For me, success is about being fully present and intentional, knowing that life won’t always feel balanced but making the most of the moments that create true impact. That might mean growing a company I’m proud of, being deeply present with my family, protecting my health, or pouring into the relationships that matter most, whatever carries the most weight in that moment.
In short, success to me is freedom, the freedom to be authentic, to make choices that align with my vision, and to create a ripple effect of growth and transformation in others.
● How do you maintain balance and wellness while leading your business?
I don’t believe in balance in the traditional sense, life and leadership rarely fall into neat, equal parts. Instead, I focus on presence and intentionality. For me, wellness comes from showing up fully in the moment I’m in, whether that’s leading my team, supporting a client, or spending time with my family.
I’ve also learned to measure wellness by impact, not hours. Some days my business requires more of me, and others my family or personal life does. Instead of striving for balance, I aim to honor the season I’m in and make the moments I do have meaningful and restorative. That mindset keeps me aligned, energized, and able to lead from a place of strength.
Future Outlook
● What are your goals or upcoming initiatives for Dana Hatch Coaching and Consulting?
Looking ahead, my goals center on expansion, innovation, and deeper impact. I am building out a series of neuroscience-based tools and frameworks journals, assessments, and identity-anchoring exercises, that clients can use between sessions to accelerate growth. These resources will allow me to scale my work while still keeping it highly personal and results-driven.
Equally important, I am bringing this same approach into my role as Chief Operating Officer at CARE Esthetics. My mission is to use the foundations and principles of my coaching to help not only the organization thrive, but also to empower each provider in the network to challenge their own limiting beliefs. By introducing a balance of consulting and coaching into a scalable system, I’m ensuring that CARE providers aren’t just adopting business strategies, they are growing as leaders, entrepreneurs, and individuals.
Ultimately, my upcoming initiatives are about continuing to push boundaries in CARE Esthetics while building coaching and consulting systems that redefine how leaders grow. The vision is to create ecosystems where internal rewiring and external systems work together, so people and organizations achieve sustainable success.
● How do you see your role evolving over the next 5 years?
Over the next five years, I see my role evolving into one that is both broader in reach and deeper in impact. With my coaching and consulting work, my focus will be on scaling the frameworks I’ve built, developing more accessible tools, digital platforms, and structured programs so that leaders around the world can benefit from neuroscience-based coaching and consulting, even beyond one-on-one work.
At the same time, in my role as Chief Operating Officer of CARE Esthetics, I envision expanding the network while embedding coaching principles into the very DNA of the organization. That means not only driving operational growth and scalability, but also equipping every provider with the mindset tools and identity-shifts that allow them to step into leadership and challenge their own limitations. My goal is to create a culture where consulting and coaching are not separate disciplines, but seamlessly integrated into how we grow people and practices.
Ultimately, I see myself continuing to serve as a bridge, between science and strategy, between leadership and execution, and between personal transformation and organizational success. In five years, I want to look back and see that I haven’t just grown companies, but helped grow leaders who are thriving in both business and life.
Message to Readers
● What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals seeking guidance in their careers?
My advice? Burn the permission slip, no one is coming to hand it to you anyway. If you want to build something that matters, stop playing safe, stop waiting for perfection, and stop negotiating with your doubts. The future doesn’t belong to the most talented or the most connected, it belongs to the ones reckless enough to believe in themselves when no one else does, and bold enough to bet everything on that.
Let’s get this straight you will fail. You will be underestimated. You will feel isolated and lose people you thought were your friends. You will scare those who can’t handle your ambition. Good. That’s the fire that forges you. You will outlast every single one of them if you refuse to quit or shrink to make others comfortable. This is the raw cost of building something real, something that leaves a mark. Every scar, every sleepless night, every setback is proof you were in the arena while others stayed safe in the stands.
Don’t waste your time or energy chasing balance or titles, they’re illusions. Chase impact. Chase alignment. Chase the version of yourself that terrifies and excites you in equal measure. Success isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about bleeding for the vision, getting back up when it knocks you down, and refusing to quit until the world has no choice but to bend a knee to your will.
